Melodious music

RETICENT he may be. But legendary musician, ILAIYARAAJA, minces no words when he says, "cinema is anyway about cheating the audience." He adds he knows his way around after having composed music for over 4000 songs. "I know which film has a way of putting together the story."

Currently working on recordings for ad filmmaker Balakrishnan's debut film "Cheeni Kam", Ilaiyaraaja said he had chosen a soft and melodious track for the film. "Because the film is about love being ageless," said he. Talking about his working style the maestro adds, "Once I hear the script I only work with the characters in order to compose music." Surely given the brilliant music that emanates each time no director's complaining.
