Hollywood beckons

Zealously creative Ananda Mohan and his works

The powerful sound of his Silent Scream was heard far and wide and the world took notice of this Guntur-based man when impact of his work reverberated in the corridors of Hollywood. It was his fad for creative writing that won Anan da Mohan plaudits from national and international film critics.

When he first sat to write a script titled The Silent Scream categorised in the action-thriller genre and based on the theme of euthanasia, little did he realise that he had actually begun to script his success story. New York-based Writers Literary and Publishing and Services Company gave a critique report appreciating his loglines and synopsis, plot and structure and visual elements and theme. It also certified that the script catered to large international audience. So was the case with his second script Damocles Double Blades derived from the concept of the Battle of Palnadu back home and classified in war genre. It was listed among interesting scripts by reputed Hollywood film agencies.

Not willing to sit back and bask in the glory of recognition bestowed on him, Ananda Mohan is eager for more accolades. On the sidelines, he let his creativity bloom by dabbling in art designing, web designing and blogging ( http://www.myspace.com/

scripts4hollywood). “Following a request by the local municipal corporation authorities, I have worked on seven designs with a slogan “Size does not matter” for the drive aimed at promoting zero tolerance towards mosquito menace in Guntur corporation limits,” he says.

After securing Intellectual Property Rights from the Hollywood Writers Guild Association, Ananda Mohan has lined up four new scripts, which are in various stages of completion. The Next Solution: Trilogy (science fiction) highlights impact of nuclear war and man’s capability to survive the catastrophe, The Centigrade, a science fiction in the genre of fantasy mythology is based on Greek mythology, The Drop Fallen is a non-fiction and an attempt to depict the plight of the children of divorced couples in the west and The Black Index is an action thriller.

After a Masters in Human Resource Management from Central University of Pondicherry in 2004, he gave in to his passion by opting for a diploma in creative writing, an online course offered by the Writers Bureau, England. He is currently doing a diploma in communicative English from Central University of Hyderabad.

“I have politely rejected offers of negotiable contract for The Silent Scream, as it will nullify my rights over the script in lieu of a hefty sum. But I know how powerful the storyline is and it is sure to bring name to our country. The trading document part is on and I expect to hear something positive by this month-end,” he says cheerfully.
