With the entry of international players in the Indian beauty market, it’s a ‘problem of plenty’ for those yearning to look beautiful. Take the seaweed series of The Body Shop. Its clay mask and seaweed pore perfector has natural clay used for maximum cleansing and revitalising benefits. Its other seaweed series includes deep cleansing facial wash, facial cleanser, exfoliator, clarifying toner, etc.Another skin care specialist, Vichy Laboratories has a Norma Derm series offering a variety of products for a complete skin renovation system for any type of skin imperfections.
Lipsticks with SPF
Oriflame, yet another big name in the beauty business, offers an Optimals Time Relax range, by using which you can ‘say goodbye to those fine lines and wrinkles’. This is a new age-defying range recommended for the 30-plus age group. The Optimals Time Relax range with ‘Bio Smooth Complex’ includes a day cream and an eye pen. The firm also has launched a range of lipsticks enriched with advanced anti-ageing benefits and SPF15 to help reduce superficial wrinkles.
L’Oreal too has launched ‘Made for Me Naturals’, brow and duo eye shadow to accentuate the natural beauty of a woman. It comes in three shades. Avon asks you to bid goodbye to ‘dull, dark and uneven skin tone’ by using its new Solutions Refined White Range which targets pigmentation from deep within to even your skin tone. Then there is Revlonwhich has introduced Colorstay Mineral Foundation, loose powder mineral foundation which lasts for as much as 16 hours of wear! The firm also has lined up its products like eye shadow, blush, bronzer, etc.
Eminence, a Hungarian Spa brand, offers a line of European beauty essentials. It has recently introduced The Coco luscious range of seven new tropical products, with fruity aromas ‘to melt your stress away’.
Astaberry Biosciences, London, has a new coconut facial kit that promises to improve skin miniaturisation, firmness and elasticity. The kit has facial cleanser, facial scrub, facial crème and face pack, priced at Rs.125. Besides, Saini Herbalshas come out with a herbal cream fortified with time-tested combination of herbs such as japa, daru haldi, jojoba seeds oil and emulsifying wax.
Then there is a range of products in the market for sun protection. Nature’s Essence has one called Sun Ban with SPF40 formula. Also, Kaya Skin Clinichas introduced its new range of fairness products. It includes Fairness face cleanser, Fairness nourishing day and night cream. Also, a range of new perfumes have come to the market shelves. There are perfumes stocked by Kunchals – like Bulgari’s Aqva Pour Homme Marine, Burberry The Beat, Escada S, Incanto Shine and Nina. Archies has a new fragrance called UXR Red available both as deo and parfum, for both men and women. You can also try the Naf Naf range of perfumes and fragrances. The range has shower gel, deodorants, gels, body lotion and perfumes. Emami, the personal and healthcare FMCG, provides another alternative in the shape of Navratna Cool Talc Active Deo. And for the first time in India, Grasim Industries’ Kara has introduced a range of skin care wipes which includes sunscreen wipes too. Since these are disposable wipes, there is no chance of infection!
