FOUR FRAMES

Big budget bonanza

The most eagerly awaited Telugu film of the year "Sainikudu" releases worldwide today and has the hot and happening pair Mahesh Babu and Trisha in the lead with Irfan Khan in a pivotal role. The film is directed by Gunasekhar, who made the blockbuster "Okkadu" and the hit "Arjun" with Mahesh. With a budget of Rs. 30 crore, "Sainikudu", produced by Ashwini Dutt, is said to be the costliest film ever made in Telugu. It is an action film set against the backdrop of a college campus and is technically slick with DI (Digital Intermediate) done by Florien Martin, a Hollywood DI specialist, who has been associated with the "Lord of the Rings". "Sainikudu" releases in Chennai in three theatres, since Mahesh Babu is a popular Telugu hero in the city.
