Wanna show off?

From formals and casuals to matching jewellery, everything is available at Show Off.

IT'S TIME for you to shop, you say to yourself. Probably because you are bored, want to rebuild your wardrobe, or for no particular reason. Western wear, you make up your mind, but then again, you don't want to run around too much, hopping in and out of several stores, looking for something that appeals both to your eyes and pocket. That's where Show Off, the newly-opened store opposite Brigade Towers, seems promising. The white building, with mannequins dressed up in trendy designs, screams for your attention. It stores only western wear, a complete offering with formals, party wear, casuals, sweaters, T-shirts, stoles, and scarves. This apart, you can also pick up matching shoes or that perfect bag, shoes, shoes, or jewellery under the same roof.

Western styles

The first Show Off store was started in 1994 by Priya Shah along with her husband Rakesh Shah, in Jayanagar. "The concept was to focus only on western clothes. Since in those days, there were very few stores in the city that offered Western wear," says Priya, who now shuttles between the two branches.

The store even today offers you a wide range of western clothes and refuses to keep anything that is ethnic for "we want to be the masters of at least one". "The other thing at Show Off is that customers will get quality clothes at a good price compared to other branded clothes," adds Priya. The only Indian touch that you see at the store in the Indo-western range. Whether jeans, trousers or shirts, the clothes come in bright colours and trendy cuts. And they can be bought for Rs. 120 upwards.

Wide array

And true to her words, one sees that the 14,000 sq. ft. three-storey store offers a wide array of clothes, shoes, and jewellery for the young and trendy.

And all the creations displayed here, says Priya, are created by their in-house designers. And you are sure to find something that will appeal both to your style and pocket. The store is offering a discount on all its products, and the discount, assures Priya, will be permanent. So while the original price is Rs. 600, it will be sold for Rs. 300. "That's important because people should know that they are getting a discount," explains Priya.

Show Off is open from 10.30 a.m to 9.30 p.m. and can be contacted on 51128805/06/08/09.
