Moonlight delights

THIS FINE locale under serene moonlight and cosy bonfire is simply for those who love to spend the time with their beloved. A rooftop international café, Bangkok Degree One, the brainchild of sister duo Ning Khurana and Ko Srikuruwal, is indeed a fine dining restaurant at Cariappa Marg. "We were always excited to introduce new things to Delhiites and by opening an international cuisine we hope that we are giving something different to our customers," says an excited Ning Khurana.

And to this Ko adds, "In all our previous ventures, we were restricted to Thai cuisine only. But with the rooftop café, we will offer the food lovers authentic Italian, Indian and Mediterranean food, giving this café a universal appeal."

The restaurant also offers Zanzibar Hookah night to the people. Closely packed sofas segregate the section for the hookah lovers. This latest addition, Zanzibar, to the Degree One chain offers hummus falafel, mixed vegetarian sauté, baba ghanouge, fatoush, falafel roll, khus khus and garlic cream for the vegetarians and for the non-vegetarians there are chicken shawerma, grill chicken, lahem mashwey, sheesh tawouk kuba and kofta kabab are on offer.

K. Sarkar, the Executive chef, says, "We have used a lot of Khus Khus and garlic in our food. The cuisine is different as we use olive oil and Arabian parsley in our cooking which none of the restaurant does. All the ingredients used are imported from Jordan." A meal for two costs roughly Rs.400 to 500 - a nominal fare for those who love good food and more importantly love each other!
