DESIGNER BEING the `in' word these days, long gone are the times when just clothes used to fall into the category. With the affordability graph soaring to the skies like never before, a consumerist urban India is now on the look out to make all things `designer.' So after clothes, fall in line your furniture at home. And, in play are quite a few players with huge showrooms flaunting things beautiful. And expensive too. But definitely not for those who can fight for their will to buy things designer over their sense of value for money.
Designer furniture label Woodmart too, catering to this section, has recently launched Fantastique, a collection of furniture made on the designs from The United States. Mostly with beech wood with a walnut finish, the collection refers back to the early 1900s.Preeti Rao, CEO of Dolphin Mart, the company behind the brand, says, "the collection offers a wide range of designs in furniture for the whole house. Though the design ideas have been taken from the US, they have been adapted to cater to the needs of Indian customers."
Available at Woodmart's showroom at Greater Kailash - 1, the collection is more of classical taste.
