Barbeque bash

CITRUS, HOTEL Savera, has launched Citrus Grill for a barbeque experience.

The Citrus Grill will serve Spanish specialties such as seafood paella, roasted red pepper and artichoke paella. Then there are fillet mignon, coffee or pepper encrusted steak, Kolhapuri style spiced lamb, Malabar fish and barbeque chicken.

For veggies, the choice includes Malabar mushrooms, cheesy vegetable kiev and Kolhapuri style shashlik.

The add-ons range from baked potatoes with cream cheese and Thai fried rice to Laksa noodle.For reservations, call 28114700.

Id special

RESIDENCY Towers, T. Nagar, is celebrating Id-ul-Fitr with a grand spread.

On November 15, an elaborate lunch buffet will be served at the Main Street restaurant.

The menu will include nihari shorba, Golconda murgh kebab, lazeez pasliyan (mutton chops), mahi-be-nazeer (fish Hyderabadi), kachi mirchi ka murgh, kheema Akbari, subji pulao noor mahal and mirch ka salan.

The buffet, priced at Rs. 350, is open from 12.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. Call 28156363 for reservations.

The German touch

HERE'S A chance to savour the taste of German cuisine. Aqua, the poolside restaurant of The Park Chennai, is holding a German food festival from November 15-21.

Begin with huhnernudelsuppe-eintopf or chicken noodle soup with with chunks of chicken and vegetables.

The main spread comprises spinat mit gekochten eiern (peasant meal of spinach with boiled potatoes and boiled eggs), kartoffensalat wiener-wurste (potato salad with wiener sausages of beef and pork), kassler sauerkraut kartoffelbrei/ salzkortoffein (smoked pork loin with pickled cabbage and mashed potato or boiled potato).


For dessert, you could check out pudding mit vanillesauce or custard pudding with vanilla sauce.

The dinner is open from 7 p.m. onwards. Call 52144000 for reservations.
