Pretty prints

INDIA HAS one of the finest textile traditions in the world. Part of the genius of Indian textiles lies in the dexterity with dyes with hand printed fabrics being much in vogue today.

This Deepavali, Tara's, 95 Parklane introduces a collection of hand block printed saris from Kanchipuram and Chettinad.

Different from the usual temple and peacock borders, the cotton and silk saris come with contrast borders.

The festival collection also has something for little girls. There are ready to wear and unstitched ethnic embroidered cholies, ghagra cholies, wrap around skirts and tops.

Another line includes ethnic kurtas, Patiala salwars, crushed cotton skirts and chiffon dupattas by Cottons from Jaipur.

The collection is for sale from the November 4-12 between 10.30 a.m. and 8.30 p.m.
