Sari mela

IF YOU like to drape yourself in an ethnic sari, the Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India's (CCIC) `Sari Mela' has a lot to offer — ikkat, kantha embroidered tussar, Kanchi cotton, Chettinad cotton, plain and printed Mangalgiri, silk and cotton Maheshwari with zari border, the silk variety from Bengal and Orissa and Pashmina block printed tussar.

The exhibition is on till November 9 at the CCIC Emporium, Temple Tower, No. 672, Anna Salai, Nandanam.

Golden aura

AURA-22, a meticulously handcrafted collection of rare, uncut diamonds set in 22 carat gold has been introduced in the city by Trendsmith, the jewellery store from the house of TBZ-Nirmal Zaveri.

Available are earrings, bangles, bracelets, necklaces and pendants. The prices range from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. four lakhs.

Trendsmith also has an exchange offer. Take your old gold jewellery and exchange it for the equivalent amount of new pieces.
