Li'l Miss turning beautiful

Help your little girl blossom into a beautiful, confident young lady. Here are some beauty guidelines.

TODAY'S LITTLE girls are tomorrow's teenagers who will be running after flawless skins, glowing complexions and great contours. These little ones may be made of sugar and spice and all things nice but sugar is definitely ruled out if you want them be gorgeous young ladies. Why not mothers lend a helping hand in early childhood to their li'l daughters achieve this enviable glow. Generally all the little girls have soft and fine skin with expert beauticians- mothers and grandmothers working on them at home. But the pollution of the current days has not spared these flawless skins as well. Creams and other chemical remedies may be an easy therapy but there are other natural substitutes as well.

Hands and feet

Always massage a little almond oil or olive oil to these tiny hands and legs at bedtime. To strengthen the nail you can soak them in warm water to which gelatine has been added. Cut the nails and keep them clean.

Skin Care

The beauty sleep that we hear so much about should be practiced more at this time. Let them get 8-9 hours of this undisturbed beauty aid. Sleep is a great enhancer of complexion. Proper cleansing helps do way with the bacteria. Mild soaps like baby soaps are great but why not try something from the kitchen shelf like a mix of green gram, milk, turmeric and fruits. Keep the skin always moistened. Little girls detest the use of creams or lotions so why not try some natural fruits like a banana or papaya mixed with honey or milk. Emphasis on the knees, elbow and ankles as these are darker than other parts.

Bathing

This is the ideal space for pampering the little ones skin. Prepare a special pack to apply all over the body. Tie some oatmeal, gram flour in a cloth and soak this in a little water. When it gets soft and milk oozes out then rub this on to her delicate skin . This will remove the dry skin making the skin soft and silky. Whatever be the weather condition let her soak only in tepid water.

Tresses Care

Chemicals in the shampoos make the crowning glory unhealthy. Instead use soap nuts like `Aretha' and `Shikakai' along with hibiscus and fenugreek. You can also use aloe Vera.

Diet

Give them a lot of fresh green vegetables and fruits. Children hate vegetables. Find exotic ways to camouflage the vegetables in your cuisines. Also include sprouts, dry fruits, oats, etc in your daily diets. Make the food look very appealing. Discourage the consumption of junk food. Instead make these burgers and pizzas with a healthy recipe at home. Input all the ingredients from which they will get ample natural vitamins instead of giving them vitamin supplements. Milk products are a must. At least two glasses of milk should be given. The cream in the milk could be used on the face to give a silky look to the skin.

Dental care

Make brushing mandatory in the morning and bedtime. Help them floss as well. Also there could be some cavity developments due to excess consumption of chocolates. Visit a dentist regularly so that all the dental corrections can be made on time. Help her gradually graduate into a beautiful teenager for she will then take care of herself when she blossoms into a woman.
