HAVE A HEART: The Good Heart ambassador Akshay Kumar
THE 30-SECOND commercial is already on air. And it has kicked off an SMS signature campaign to support your heart. The man at the centre of action is actor Akshay Kumar.
Advocating the cause of the heart and keeping it in good health, Akshay, the Good Heart ambassador for The Institute of Preventive Cardiology Foundation in Mumbai, was caught on camera walking on a ledge of a 24-storey building in Mumbai for the cause.
The shoot went on Star Plus from October 1. And thereon began the messaging service on the number 7827 to raise funds for the cause. Says Akshay, "I know, we all are too busy in everyday life to support any cause. So, we have tied up with Star to make it very simple. All one needs to do is to SMS `heart' to 7827.
Out of every one rupee, Star will donate 25 paise to this cause." Also, every time you send an SMS, an automatic reply message gives you one tip to take care of your heart.
Calling himself "strictly health-conscious," he says he is quite particular about taking walks, eating meals on time and avoiding stress.
Concludes Akshay, "Today, it will cost you only a rupee. And if you are not careful, someday, it could cost your life!" Warning enough?
