Myriad forms

GANESHA, THE elephant God, can be seen in many postures — crawling, dancing, sleeping and sitting — and in different mediums at `Ganesh Darshan,' an exhibition at the Central Cottage Industries Corporation.

There are Ganeshas in mango wood (in natural and colourful finishes) and in panchaloha from Tamil Nadu and in rosewood and sandalwood from Karnataka and Jaipur.

Also on display are idols embellished with meenakari work from Varanasi and in brass from Aligarh.

The exhibition is on till September 17, at the CCI, Temple Towers, Anna Salai.
