When juices flow

THE TIME is ripe for doing away with the greasy guilt and getting the taste buds attuned to fresh, nutritious and low-fat fast food alternatives. Juice Zone, the Energy Bar is celebrating Health Week till August 31 in Greater Kailash-I and other outlets at Rajouri Garden, DLF-II Gurgaon and Centersage Mall, Noida.

Says Bhupinder Bagla, Managing Director, Juice Zone, "We are focusing on hygiene, health and ambience to give quality products to our customers at reasonable price."

New additions to the menu include Staeta (flavoured soy milk said to be excellent for heart patients) and frozen yoghurt (touted as a healthier and delicious alternative to ice-creams). The company has taken the help of medical practitioners to drive home its point.

Dr. S.C. Manchanda, cardiologist, feels foods like soy beans, fruits and plant derivatives are good for the health and help in decreasing heart diseases, cancer and cholesterol. Food is an important component and a little awareness can be the surest way to a stress-free and happy life, he adds.

Dr. Neelam Verma, a physician and cardiologist whose prescription for health and healing includes Yoga and meditation, cosmic dance (dance of nature) and music, agrees that diet plays a vital role in good mental and physical health, adding, "I do not appreciate giving too many tranquilizers to my patients."

Catering to the growing demand for fresh, healthy, low-fat and nutritious meals the bar has a choice of fresh fruit slushes, juices, juicetales, American smoothies, fortifiers, salads and pitas, health snacks and wheat grass juice (grown in the store and freshly chopped and extracted on the spot). So get ready to reel in the big whirl!
