Be a square

PIZZA CORNER has introduced a range of square Sicilian pizzas. The thick crust has the flavour of foccacia bread, with a robust taste of cheese, garlic and herbs. The dough is deeper and breadier than usual and the sauces add zing to the taste of the pizza. The Garlic Mushroom Delight and Chicken Salami Delight are crowned with classic pizza sauce, that's a blend of tomatoes, herbs and spices. The Cheesy Garden Pizza and Cheesy Chicken Delight are simply drowning in the special creamy cheese sauce. Definitely not something you should be eating if you've just joined a gym, but the delightfully piquant tastes of garlic and cheese are worth an extra half an hour on the treadmill.

Original Sicilian pizza, of course, has no cheese. The cheese is an addition that American GIs added when they took the pizza home from Italy after World War II. In Italy, pizza is still baked in dishes, cut out into squares and sold on the streets. The square pizza is a recent introduction by Pizza Corner though.

The vegetarian pizzas are priced at Rs. 145 while the non-vegetarian cost Rs. 175. Any of the four Sicilian pizzas is available with a portion of garlic bread and a pitcher of Coke on dine-in for Rs 179, while for home delivery the offer comes with a Coke mobile.
