Paranthas all

AT PARANTHA Junction, one cannot get away from the taste and feel of Punjabi masalas and tandoor. Standing tall at Padam Singh Road in Delhi's Karol Bagh, it is a show-stopper for all other neighbouring `desi' fast food restaurants.

Methi-lehsun ka parantha, papad ka parantha and crispy parantha are some of its special serves, pegged at around Rs.69, along with a few complimentary combos. If appetite is not a constraint, one just can't stop eating here. There is a list of over 75 paranthas, some of which you might not have even heard of. For those with a special place for anything sweet, there are cheeni ka parantha, coconut parantha, khoya parantha and similiar dishes.

But, without a nice cool drink, the buffet is not complete. So, Head Chef Suresh Singh gives one the opportunity to choose from a variety of "Punjabi drinks" from a lassi to khas sharbat. Not to forget the badam ki thandayi, the one that refreshes the mind and body in this scorching heat.

Parantha Junction seems all set to offer competition to Delhi's age-old Paranthe Wali Gali, complete with the comforts of modern cooking, plus a giant movie screen to keep you entertained.
