Coastal FLAVOURS

IF YOU love eating out, then there's something interesting happening on the food front. The restaurant Malgudi, located on Outer Ring Road and specialising in authentic South Indian cuisine, has zeroed in on Kerala food. Malgudi will serve Kerala specials at its ongoing Kerala Food Festival till July 18.

The restaurant offers a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Seafood enthusiasts can feast on exotica like Kappa-Meen Vevichathu and Chemmeen Ulathiyathu, two legendary dishes featuring tapioca and shrimp. These can be savoured with Malabar Parathas, Atterachi Mapas and Nool Puttu.

Vegetarians can relish either the famed Kadala Curry (which goes very well with Rice Puttu) Vendakai Theeyil, or Pachakai Ishtew, that are excellent accompaniments with Appams.

That's not all. Even the ambience is designed to remind customers of God's Own Country, say the organisers.

Those who can't wait to try out the coastal fare may contact Malgudi on 25234166. The restaurant is half km from the Marathahalli Underpass towards Krishnarajapuram.
