Art show at Alliance

The event is a platform for artists to showcase their works for the first time

JULY IS a joyous month at the Alliance Francaise de Bangalore with a plethora of activities. The students and staff have come together for an exhibition of art, creativity and talent.

Kicking off the string of events is an art exhibition at the AFB Gallery and atrium from July 9 to 17, displaying the paintings of Priya Ramachandran, Malavika Belavangala, Davinder Siani, Supriya Naren and Manoranjan.

Also part of the show are cartoons by Vivian Mathews, pottery by Shweta Kandoi, pot art by G.V. Shwetha and hand-made dolls by Rashmi M. The event is aimed at providing a platform for artists to showcase their works for the first time.

The formal inauguration is only on July 13, but that shouldn't stop you from checking out the show earlier. Also on the cards are music, dance and theatre. To top it all, there's an on-the-spot talent search.
