VINOD KAMBLI is "very serious about cricket. I am training hard and hope to get back into the Indian team.

Cricket is a religion for most people and it is also a religion for me. I love the atmosphere, the competition and the charm the game has."

His clean-shaven head and intricate tramlines on his chin are part of his chic look. "People think it is a style statement, but I like to admire myself you see? It is fun. I go to my barber and tell him the pattern I want and voila I have a brand new look!" His thick link gold chain that he got made a long while ago, capris and cut away tee contribute to his culture of cool.

"I like to be thought of as an entertainer. It is a kind of fun you know where one gets to be creative." Talk of entertainment and can films be far behind? "I am in talks for two films." Kambli is a film buff and loves "horror films. I get scared watching them but I still enjoy them."

Kambli outlines his six-point fitness regimen.

Weight training: I do circuit training and exercise my upper abs - cannot afford to have a big fat paunch right?

Treadmill: Is good for endurance.

Cycling: The perfect exercise option for strong legs.

Water: At least four to five litres of water every day are a must.

Adequate rest: I see that I get enough sleep

Diet: I avoid oily and fatty foods, which means saying `no' to my favourite mutton biryani as well!
