Kachang!


SUMMER = Ice cream. The equation is getting a little stale, so the Shyam Group of restaurants has decided to give the city a shot of ice kachang. Chillers, the city's first Ice Kachang parlour on Radhakrishnan Salai, serves Singapore's speciality dessert of crushed ice, fruit syrup, jelly and ice cream. Pick from `Red Ruby Sago', `Ice Jelly Nata' or `Mango Litchies' flavoured kachangs. The parlour claims that the syrups and jellies used in these icy delights are imported from Singapore and include unusual flavours such as aloevera, crushed ice and cardamom. Chillers, open from 11 a.m. to midnight on all days, also serves sundaes, shakes, juices and mocktails.
