Statements in style

THERE ARE some motifs that never go out of fashion such as block prints, kalamkari and Kashmiri embroidery. That's what Kanchan's Designer Wear showcases at an exhibition of dress materials.

The artistic speciality of each State finds representation at this exhibition. One can choose Kalamkari in earthy hues, delicate Kashmiri and Parsi embroidery or the time-tested block prints in soft-flowing fabrics such as georgette and crepe.

The exhibition, which concludes today, is on at 8-A, Gee Gee Minar, 23, College Road, Nungambakkam.
