Dal, a new Tasveer

DAL IS a basic, traditional Indian food. With this concept in mind, Tasveer, The Indian Cuisine Restaurant at Level III, Gourmet Gallery, South Extension II, is celebrating a food festival, Dal's Unlimited till May 23.

With a number of lip smacking choices, the menu contains 15 varieties of dals, for vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences. These include Dal Panchratni, Dal Mohini, Dal Jaipuri, Dal Palak, Dal Gharwali, Dal Amritsari and more. Especially for seafood lovers, Jhinga Dal, cooked with prawns, and Dal Jalpari, cooked with fish have also been included. Danshak and Dal Mass are for meat lovers.

"This is our effort to promote Indian food. This is for the first time that anyone in Delhi is doing a dal festival. With this food festival, we have tried to capture the essence and flavour of different dal recipes from all over India, which will definitely be a gourmet's delight. The dals have been cooked by our skilled chefs keeping in mind the Indian taste and customary style of cooking," says Rameer Trehan of Gourmet Gallery.

The festival prices are within the range of Rs.90 to 300.
