Bullish on crystal


IT'S THE magic of Swarovski crystal all the way. The irresistible sparkle of a crystal has always been a source of fascination for all. Swarovski is visible worldwide as it launches high quality new crystal products in wide-ranging styles, directions and designs. Contemporary trends are consistently translated into product lines such as jewellery, watches, accessories, home dιcor products, gift items and collectible figurines with many novelties every year.

The success story of Swarovski articles began in 1976 with sparkling animal figurines. This led to the development of Swarovski collectors' society in 1987, which has about half a million members and is represented in about 30 countries. It not only gives a common platform to all the crystal enthusiasts all over the world to come together and enjoy the exclusive privileges such as to purchase annual limited editions of specially produced collectors' items, exchanging experiences as Swarovski organises special events, trips and meetings. The society launches its "numbered edition pieces" which had the Eagle in1995 as the first one, the peacock in 1998, the wild horses in 2001 and now the bull in 2004.

This piece has been described as magnificent. It is called the 2004 limited edition bull of which only a limited 10, 000 units are there globally for which orders are taken from the society members. "The greatest challenge was to convey the wild, untamed power and dynamic motion of the animal through the medium of crystal", says Adi Stocker the designer. Swarovski crystal releases a limited edition masterpiece every three years. This is the fourth limited edition masterpiece . Swarovski is the world's leading manufacturer of cut crystal. The universe of Daniel Swarovski who was the founder of Swarovski is presented in their exclusive boutiques around the world. And in our city the magic was captured by Image- the Swarovski showroom and the bull was on display on 4 May.
