Choose your food

THERE IS no more a need for hunting for a multi-cuisine food outlet that does more than just serve everything, that is available everywhere. Just step into Ploof located in the Lodhi Colony market. A mere overview of the extensive menu at Ploof will introduce one to some truly delectable world-cuisine. Although a seafood speciality, there is enough on the menu for vegetarians. Take for instance the starter Grilled Mediterranean vegetables, which are served with coriander aioli and reduced balsamico. For those preferring non-vegetarian there is the Chicken and olives brochettes in the long list of starters. At an average cost of Rs.700 for a lunch or dinner for two, the restaurant offers a wide range of possibilities for main courses, the Diced Chicken Black Pepper, which is served with Nasi Goreng (a spicy Indonesian style fried rice) and the Chicken Steak are a must-have. There is also a wide range of beverages and desserts on offer at Ploof, which derives its name from the French word `Plouf', which denotes the sound of a stone dropping in water.

But all this aside, one of the main attractions at Ploof is the concept of `Marketplace', which allows the customer to select the quantity of meat, seafood variety or vegetable that one wishes to have, and ask for it to be cooked in one of seven possible cooking styles. The management plans to gradually make this the central feature of the restaurant and will soon introduce even more cooking styles for the clients to choose from.
