Promoting the arts

AT A time when classical art forms are no longer popular on television channels, Raj TV'S sister concern, Raj Video Vision, has brought out video CDs of Carnatic performances.

The three-video series, which is also to be telecast later on Raj TV, comprises "Isai Arangam" by violin duo M. Lalitha and M. Nandini, who have played nine songs in different ragas for the VCD; "Bharatnatyam" where Lavanya and Mrinalini perform; and "Innisai Mazhai" performed by sisters Shanmugha Priya and Hari Priya.
