Where flavours blend


IT'S A trend these days to create new flavours by combining the ingredients and cooking techniques of two or more ethnic cuisines. The Indo-Med Medley, the food fest on at Cappuccino, the coffee shop at ITC Park Sheraton and Towers, has done precisely this.

So here are some interesting combinations of Indian and Mediterranean cuisines that you could sample - lump fish caviar and lentil blinis, chilled carrot soup with pickled mango and coconut milk, lobster meat rubbed with tamarind-ginger chutney, marigold seared grilled fillet of red snapper with curry leaf emulsion and tea smoked chicken served with Hyderabadi biriyani and sun dried tomato raita.

The dessert menu is indeed mouth-watering, making choice difficult. There's bluc Curacao kulfi, Masrcarpone risotto phirni and semi freddo of ginger and peach.

The innovative touch reflects the creative spirit of Chef Rajat Tuli, who has spared no efforts to take Chennai-ites on a unique culinary adventure.

The a la carte fest is on for lunch and dinner till April 11 between 12 noon and 3 p.m. and between 7. 30 p.m. and 11 p.m. For further enquiries, contact 24994101, extn. 1810.
