Chef Amar Chettri brings a new Far Eastern flavour to Hotel Viceroy

NEW OFFERINGS at Gaiety, Hotel Viceroy are Chicken in Schezwan sauce, Drunken lobsters flambé in Chinese wine and more from the Oriental region. Reason, the hotel has got a new Chinese chef.

Chef Amar Chettri recommends Triple Schezwan— layers of rice and crispy noodles topped with a layer of Schezwan sauce, and Diced lobsters with red chilly flakes. While the former is a pre-plated meal by itself, the latter brings out its authentic flavour with steamed rice. He also plans to introduce Cantonese, Hakka and Mandarin cuisine in coming days at the Oriental buffet in Patio as well as at Gaiety. "We plan to introduce a tent card promotion of the new spread at Gaiety from next week," says Nepal Singh, Food & Beverage manager, Hotel Viceroy.
