Tiles with a history

Bharat Tiles: durable and classy

TILES SHOULD last as long as the building. This is the motto that drives Bharat Flooring and Tiles Company, which has an outlet on Lalbagh Road called Heritage Tiles.

The company, with a history of 75 years, has provided tiles for places such as Bombay's Santa Cruz Airport, Bombay Central Station, J.J. Jeslok Hospital, Breach Candy Hospital, and Hyderabad's Salar Jung Museum. The Director of the company, Dilnawaz Variava, says with pride that the company has provided tiles for the Raj Bhavans in Bombay, Pune, and Chennai as well. The company started its business in Mumbai, during the Raj era, by adopting technology from Italy and Germany to suit Indian conditions.

The company offers tiles in 28 colours in a variety of designs. It makes non-slippery tiles for car driveways, poolsides, and terraces. There are special load-bearing tiles for factory floors.

Bharat Flooring and Tiles also offers help to customers on laying and restoration work. Heritage Tiles can be contacted on 22129121 or 9845130564.
