Painting expo


A three-day exhibition of the entries of the All-India Camel colour contest 2003 concluded at Hotel Daspalla on Sunday. In all, 32 lakh students from various schools all over the country have participated in the contest. The school, which won the highest number of prizes in Andhra Pradesh-II region is Kendriya Vidyalaya, Malkapuram and the school which had sent the maximum number of entries from the region is Sri Satya Sai Vidyavihar, MVP Colony.

The other winners from Visakhapatnam in AP-II region are: Group-B (Std.I & II) - Neha Kumari (KV, Malkapuram) and P. Kasee(Satya Sai Public School) who bagged the second and third prizes respectively. D. Shakeena of Chaitanya Public School secured the first prize in Group C (Std. III & IV) while Shama Ali of Kendriya Vidyalaya bagged the second prize at the national level. G. Havinash (Chaitanya Public School) and Imoy Manikumar (Kendriya Vidyalaya) shared the third prize in the same group.

In Group D (Std. V to VII), G. Harika of Chaitanya Public School won the first prize at the national level and Ch. Chandrasekhar of DAV Centenary Public School bagged the third prize and in Group E, (Std. VIII to X), M. Suryachandra of St. Aloysius School won the third prize.

The other winners in AP-II region are from Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajahmundry and Kakinada.

The exhibition drew a large number of children from various schools in the city.
