A date for dinner

NESTLED IN New Delhi's Paschim Vihar, Dates, a restaurant-cum-bar, is a destination not only for those looking for variety in their food but also those keen to party. The dining section and pub - which offers a range of cocktails and mocktails - are situated opposite each other. The endeavour behind this plan is that both diners and lovers of beverages can enjoy the luxury of this happening place. For the elaborate eater there is a three course meal in which you get not only quantity but also quality. To begin with you are served a soup and starters. This is followed by the main course, with a choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Among the Indian specialities, the chef's speciality of rich cashew and saffron flavoured chicken preparation, Chicken Mughlai, offers a break from the normal chicken curry. After tasting the spaghetti Bolognaise flavoured with rosemary, one will surely ask for more. Fruit and nuts cream punch is an inviting choice among desserts. There is also an array of Chinese dishes. The interiors have been given a classy look by well-known interior decorator, Dhruv Gupta, who has received an award of Best Interior Designer 2003.

Pradeep Kapoor, the owner of Dates, says, "Here you get an atmosphere of relaxation and variety of cuisine. We have a seating capacity of 94."
