Malkit's magic... yet again?

THE GUINESS Book record holder for largest selling Bhangra pop, Malkit Singh is popping up with yet another pop album. After entertaining Punjabi music lovers with his famous `Tutak Tutak Tutian' and `Gurh Nal Ishq Mitha' numbers, Malkit comes with his latest `Chal Hun'. This one promises to be an all-in-one package. It has foot-tapping numbers along with the sad ones.

Says Malkit, "I love the `Maa' track very much. It is a heart-rending number. `Tu Ta Bada' is also my favourite". The album also features `Apache Indian' and `Pay As You Grow' in two tracks. Malkit's four-year old son makes a cameo in one of the songs and the Punjabi pop king is very happy about it. "He has a penchant for singing, and I should not restrain him even though he is too young for it", papa Singh says. He is happy about the videos of the album, which are already on our TV sets.

Malkit maintains that, "the recent controversy regarding Daler Mehndi bodes ill for the Punjabi music"

"It has severely affected the credibility of Punjabi pop singers," he adds.
