The de-stress mantra

BRAND NEW Club Olympus has recently reopened at the Hyatt Regency after being briefly closed for refurbishment. Keeping in mind that 90 per cent of today's health and fitness seekers is busy people who don't have the entire day to indulge themselves, Club Olympus has deliberately stepped away from the tradition of full day checking in and pampering. Instead, they are simply trying to offer a few hours of rejuvenation in terms of a gymnasium equipped with the latest in fitness technology, besides the new massage rooms and relaxation areas.

The Club environment is compact, minimalist and clean, aesthetically interesting without the weight of the normal spa pretensions or attitude. The Olympus treatments focus primarily on effectiveness, with a generous dose of luxury and relaxation thrown in for good measure. The massage therapies include deep tissue treatments, Ayurveda, reflexology, shiatsu and the jetlag massage. Then there are the body polishes, body wraps, facemasks and more, the costs ranging between Rs.500 to 2,200. Club Olympus also stocks the Forrest Essentials range of products, so you have a wide range of herb or flower infused oils to choose from for your treatment - geranium, lavender, apricot, sandalwood or a combination of eucalyptus with black pepper.

We all tend to over-do, over-schedule and over-extend ourselves, even when doing things we like to do, so a visit to a place like this will surely aid in restoring your sense of well being. Here you can enjoy the luxuries of a spa vacation for only an hour, or half a day, close to your work place or home. The interesting thing about Club Olympus is that you need not be a member to check out any of these treatments, just make a reservation and walk in. So, the next time you're feeling a little stressed, tired, or out of sorts, try a little pampering at Club Olympus.
