FOR THE style-conscious

A touch of glamour for your bathroom

GONE ARE the days when bathrooms and toilets served a functional purpose. Today, people make an attempt to have bathrooms that not only look good, but also "feel good". They are designed to suit different moods too! And they actually do not mind spending that wee bit extra to make their bathrooms look like glamour rooms, as they are called. In fact, toilets and bathrooms are used to make a style statement. To cater to such needs there are also companies that come out with designs to suit the modern and stylish demands.

The latest company to lure style-conscious people with attractive designs is the Parryware Experiencenter. Designed by Tessaract Design, the spacious 2000 sq.ft. showroom "does not sell products, but helps the customer make an informed decision when he decides to buy a product".

It is called Experiencenter as "it provides the customer with a display of products in such a way that it appeals to his senses, heart, and mind. When brands are seen as experience providers, equity is measured in their sensory stimulation, emotional bonding, and lifestyle value," explains K.E. Ranganathan, G.M. Marketing, Parryware. He also adds that Parryware products are developed in collaboration with architects.

Walk in to the showroom and you get to actually live the experience, in that, the products are shown in live bathroom settings, where you can not only see how it looks, but also observe how it functions.

The Experiencenter also provides design software that enables a customer to specify the bathroom area and choose from the extensive range to get the desired look and mood. Right from the colour of the product and the accessories to the tiles and flooring, the bathrooms are designed to suit individual needs here, says Mr. Ranganathan.

Some of the popular products displayed at the Experiencenter are those with Stainzfree surface, which come with a coating to prevent stubborn hard water or salt-water from forming on ceramic surfaces. These come in shades of black, midnight blue, oasis green, and burgundy. "These commodes are easy to maintain and are designed to use less water thus helping you conserve water," explains Mr. Ranganathan.

Dual Flush is the other popular closet that comes with water saving dual flushes in 6/3 litre flushing. You can also choose from the cascade closet suite, priced between Rs. 3,900 and Rs. 10,800, Kalahari closet suite, priced at Rs. 3,000 upwards, and the Athena closet suite, priced at Rs. 17,000 upwards, to name a few.

The aim of Parryware is to promote the concept of sparkling clean "glamour rooms" that are hygienic, designed to conserve water, and are contemporary.

The Experiencentre, at Akshodaya, 259/31, 10th Cross, Wilson Gardens, can be contacted on 51207140/98451-27920.
