An eclectic array of fun mocktails and cool ice creams characterise the cheerful Exclamations

MOCKTAILS AT Exclamations is fun. The newly opened 40-seater pub at Raj Bhavan Road whips up exotic non-alcoholic drinks that are colourful in character, and do not leave a buzz behind. All they leave is a desire to order another.
Nifty interiors, fluorescence splashed here and there, and Wharfeadle-poster panels characterise the fun-zone that is sans fuss with a minimalist make-up.
Brainchild of a high-school dropout Gautam, who studied pubs in U.K before he hit upon Exclamations, - the concept of which, he says, was to essentially make it cheery and breezy. With promoter Dipali in tow, - the teetotaller duo, were not happy about the market of mocktails. The result is the city's first mocktail pub.
Not that one cannot find munchies in Exclamations. Sinfully rich brownies and pastries, sugary muffins and cheesy tarts are an assortment best suited for an evening of good-hearted fun and laughter with a bright drink.
And if indulgence is your name, nothing like a triple sundae . Whether you want a Double trouble or a Khallas is a matter of personal choice. Options like, Return of the yummy or 440-volts are not regretful preferences either.
In addition to the 13-varieties of mocktails, there are exotic flavours that seem an exclamation by themselves. Cranberry Frog (Cranberry liqueur with fresh juice and crush-n-cream), Pussy Foot and Virgin sex on the Beach not only sound wild, but are also hot with youngsters and highly recommended by Gautam.
"Exclamations offer allowances to clients to choose the flavour and place orders for mix-n-match mocktails. Our barman can help you find the taste you are looking for," adds the owner.
While the mocktails are pegged between Rs. 50 and Rs. 85, exotic ice-creams are available for Rs. 65, and above. Frothy shakes come for Rs. 40.
Check out Exclamations (Tel: 55759789) when you are bored to tears, and it will just get you started on. And don't bother the blank picture frames. They are high-powered speakers, which when meddled with, can punish you with an overdose of adrenaline.
