For mom and me

TUNIC CITI, the four-floor store that opened last week in Anna Nagar, is a women-and-children-only space. With four floors devoted entirely to women's, children's and infants' clothing, accessories and playthings, Tunic Citi is the area's newest concept store.

In the ground floor section, children over the age of four can choose from Disney clothing, Gini and Jony, Weekender Kids and other brands. In the toy area, cuddly Pooh bears and assorted teddies peer down from the shelves imploring one to buy them. Barbie dolls, Hot Wheels cars and other branded toys fill the rest of the shelves.

Level two is an exclusive to infants, or more precisely, 0 to 4 year olds. Everything a mewling and puking infant could want is stacked up on the shelves, complete with a kiddie play area if the kids get impatient while the mums are shopping for them.

The third floor stocks women's Western and Indian wear. Brands include Weekender, Scullers, Remanika and Peach. Salwar sets are priced from Rs. 600 to Rs.1,525. All brands of cosmetics are also available at a separate counter.

The fourth floor has household improvement items as the store likes to call them — bed and table linen, cushion covers, cutlery and crockery.

Tunic Citi is at AB, Second Avenue, Anna Nagar, ph: 30903002.
