Taming the virus

Vipul Ved Prakash.

AS A teenager he loved challenges. Tackling computer related problems became his hobby and passion. Fed up with constant bombardment of unwanted and unwarranted e-mails, this young man came out with a brilliant idea. He devoted his time, interest and intelligence to come out with free software to obliterate such e-mails. Vipul Ved Prakash left Delhi University midstream to take up the challenging task of establishing a virus-fighting software.

Named Vipul's Razor, this software is capable of deleting junk mail. This techno leap has so impressed Cloudmark (TM) - one of the leading virus fighting companies - that he has been included in the esteemed list of this year's 100 top young innovators. All the nominees are under the age of 35.

However, it hasn't been a cakewalk. He had to quit his college to do complextechnical studies for five years to become creator of Spam fighting software.
