The Wild(craft) way

The Wildcraft outlet in the city stocks plenty of gear needed for adventure sports.


IF YOU are a trekking buff and did not know where to buy your sleeping bag or camping equipment from, your search could end at the Wildcraft outlet on Press Road in the city.

The showroom, opening on Monday, stocks all the gear one would need for indulging in some adventure tourism or even for the routine travelling.

Backpacks in various designs, colours and sizes are priced between Rs. 395 and Rs. 990. Travelling bags cost between Rs. 650 to Rs. 1,400. Convertible duffel bags cost Rs. 1,050, trekking bags are in the price range of Rs. 3,250 to Rs. 4,500, while shoulder bags cost Rs. 325.

Wildcraft also brings out camera bags (Rs. 580 to Rs. 750), waist pouches (Rs. 200 to Rs. 350), passport pouches (Rs. 140), bodypacks (Rs. 240) and camcorder bags (Rs. 800 to Rs. 950).

Bumbags, which can also be used as waist pouches or handybags, can be bought for Rs. 800. Handybags called Book-it come for Rs. 650.

Wildcraft also brings out bags for office use. Bags that can be used by either sex are available in the range of Rs. 675 and Rs. 850. Large-size office bags cost Rs. 1,050. Personal organiser bags cost Rs. 450.

The brand's windcheaters cum trekking jackets are priced between Rs. 1,050 and Rs. 1,200.

Fleece jackets in hues of blue, grey and cream are available in the range of Rs. 800 to Rs. 1,200.

T-shirts cost between Rs. 150 and Rs. 350, while caps in various designs are all priced at Rs. 150.

Products that will soon arrive at the outlet include collapsible tents, sleeping bags (Rs. 850 to Rs. 1,200) and wallets (Rs. 250). All Wildcraft products have a two-year warranty.

The outlet also stocks the products of the Belgium-based Jansport, and Eastpak companies. Jansport backpacks, with a warranty of 30 years, cost between Rs. 699 and Rs. 2,499. Its shoulder bags that can double as college bags are priced between Rs. 699 and Rs. 1,800. The Eastpak backpacks cost between Rs. 549 and Rs. 2,100.
