Value brunch

Pamper yourself with the Sparkling Sunday Brunch at Encounters, Taj Krishna.

AFTER A rather hectic round of partying on Saturday night, Sunday calls for lazy mornings — a couple of toasts, steaming hot strong coffee (to get rid of that big fat hangover) while you giggle tiredly over Sunday cartoons.

UNLIMITED CHOICE: Indulge in Indian and continental delicacies.

Then when your system has stopped swaying to the techno trance beat of last night's party; you roll up your sleeves and dig into an elaborate, sumptuous late brunch.

That is the routine, but if you want to do something different, do it in style with the Sparkling Sunday Brunch at Encounters, Taj Krishna.

The bistro ambience is ideal for that happy holiday feeling and transports you to the Mediterranean thanks to the wooden floor panels, bay windows and jazz playing in the background.

For the spread, the buffet offers you a choice of a late breakfast, an early dinner (12 noon - 3 p.m.) or a simply filling meal before you drive back home for a Sunday siesta.

BISTRO AMBIENCE: Ideal for a lazy Sunday.

The buffet, priced at Rs. 495, is quite substantial. "Chef Khosla has designed the elaborate buffet that caters to children and grown-ups alike. We have added the popular breakfast items to the menu with a multi-cuisine spread so that a person can settle for a light lunch or heavy brunch," says Vishal Bharti, food and beverages manager Taj Krishna, about the buffet.

Eggs made to order, freshly baked croissants and Danish pastries, sausages, soups of the day, wafers, fresh fruit juice and milk shake, a platter of cold meat and cheese form the continental breakfast menu. The main course features Veg Shashlik and pizzas, dosas, rajma salad, fresh sprouts with biryani, dal, plain rice, Sarson da saag and Gobi benarasi. The chaat counter, items from our deliciously diverse Indian cuisine, Chinese curries, Lebanese Shawarma and more, the Sunday brunch makes one dizzy with choice.

The dessert section has Indian mithai Kaju burfi and Kesar pedha as well as pies, parfait and mousse. For the diet conscious, the buffet offers fresh vegetable juice — tomato and cucumber, a lavish salad spread, sugar free almond pie and chilled iced tea. And for all you who feel that the only way to get rid of a hangover is to get some more alcohol into the system, there is unlimited beer.

Need we say more? For that relaxed Sunday brunch you know where to go. For details, contact Encounters, Taj Krishna, Tel: 55662323, Extn: 3326.
