Earthy appeal

Be it salwars, saris or artefacts, Crafts and Weaves has created a new range this season.

CRAFTS AND Weaves is turning five. And to celebrate its anniversary, the outlet has come up with a new range of jewellery, artefacts and garments.

Block printed salwar kurta materials, saris, dupattas and kaftans with a hint of embroidery come in cottons, crepes and Maheswaris.

To lend an earthy touch are kutchi embroidery and mirror work which are translated on salwar kurta ensembles, thornas, silk evening bags and wall hangings.

The fashion conscious can choose from a trendy range of off-white and black kurtis worked with kundan stones and subtle embroidery. Cotton saris with contrasting borders are other attractions.

Also on show are terracotta jewellery, some of which are hand-painted, bamboo wind chimes and wooden masks from the Maldives.

What's more, the outlet is offering a sapling of the Krishna Tulasi plant with every purchase, and one can avail of a 10 per cent discount between 2-4 p.m. The offer is on till August 25.

Crafts and Weaves is located at 11, 1st Main Road, CIT Colony, Mylapore, ph: 24660232.
