Paneer butter masala


How does one make paneer butter masala?

Annapoorna, Ramanthapur

ONE NEEDS the following ingredients: Paneer (fried and soaked in water) - 100 gms, tomatoes- 250 gms, ginger - 10 gms, garlic - 10 gms (both ginger and garlic to be ground to a paste), red chilli powder -1tsp, sugar - a pinch, coriander powder - 5 gms, onions - 15 gms, butter 10 - gms, kasoori methi - 1/2tsp, garam masala - tsp, cream - tsp, chopped coriander - tsp.

Method: Blanch the tomatoes. De-skin. Make a coarse paste of tomatoes. In a kadai, heat oil. Add cumin, chopped onion. Fry for a while. Add ginger-garlic paste. Add chilli powder and coriander powder. Cook for a minute. Then add the pureed tomatoes. Cook well. Finish by adding fried paneer and kasoori methi. Take out in a bowl and garnish with garam masala powder and chopped coriander. Finish by adding the garam masala powder, kasoori methi and chopped coriander.
