Sizzling taste... the unusual way

WITH THE monsoon here, it's time to eat something hot and sizzling. T.G.I Fridays at their outlets in Delhi have introduced the Fajita's. The delicacy, inspired by South-Western plains of Mexico and Texas, is a favourite across 56 different countries at the outlets of this restaurant chain.

The officials say, "Unusual look of the dish attracts people towards it, the way it is served to customers distinguishes it".

It is served in a tower-like preparation with three levels of two-and-a-half feet. In different portions of the preparation there are chicken, shrimps and cottage cheese Fajita's. To eat the delicacy one can either make rolls of the grilled meat and vegetables with the traditional flour tortillas or have it in a lettuce cup for the lighter one. For local taste, the eatery has made a blend of Indian and western, a serving of salad with green chilli sauce, grilled onions, pepper, colby cheese, zesto picco de gallo and sour cream.

The officials say, "We keep ourselves involved in some promotional activities, so we keep promoting our drinks almost every week and once in a month we go for an exclusive food promotion. We are about to organise a special Salsa dance at Priya multiplex. Our target group is corporate. Since we have reduced the rates, it has become more economical." The restaurant has a large number of young visitors with a flair for unusual picks.

And there is something interesting for those with a flair for new recipes; chefs here have created a "how to" primer, giving a chance to them to learn how to make fajitas! And don't worry; it's a step-by-step instructions method.

And there is more. Chefs encourage guests to share their ideas on the best way to combine ingredients to come out with new fajitas, the guests' own masterpiece!

The Fajita's are available at Vasant Vihar and Connaught Place outlets with chicken, shrimps and cottage cheese. Priced between Rs.290 and 380.
