Sizzlers festival


Any idea how does it feel eating a sizzling sizzler in a restaurant? "It is like being noticed while walking down the Beach Road with a stunningly beautiful girlfriend," says the chef of WelcomHotel Grand Bay, Nambi Arooran, with a mischievous grin.

Well that's how exactly it is. The moment the waiter brings the sizzling dish leaving a trail of smoke you become the cynosure of all eyes at the restaurant.


The five-star hotel is back with another sizzler festival from Friday at their multi-cuisine restaurant, The Residency, and it will go on till June 29.

Exotic combinations with eye-catching names have been created by Nambi for both the vegetarian and the non-vegetarian gourmets of the metro.

Romantic roma, residency dragon, pavilion medley, Peshawari special, Mexican mania, charcutiere chops, pretty fowl with bull's eye and curry bhari are the names of a few dishes that can sizzle your thoughts even before you could order for them.


"Every dish is a meal by itself. For example, pavilion medley which is otherwise called mixed grill is a combination of chicken supreme, lamb chops, sausages and fish topped with barbeque sauce. Similarly the same dish in the vegetarian section would comprise spinach macroni, grilled pineapple, paneer steak, vegetable cutlets with barbeque sauce," says Nambi.

The festival is on an a la carte basis and starts of from 7.30 p.m. onwards every day.
