Bonanza for book lovers

Penguin India celebrates fifteen years of publishing with the 10,000 club offer where for every two books purchased from the 10,000 club list, the buyer will receive a third club book of equal or lesser value absolutely free.

OVER THE years Penguin's eclectic selection of fiction, poetry, general non-fiction, memoirs, business history, current affairs, travel, mind-body-spirit, translations, classics, humour, sports reference, anthologies and children's books have found pride of place on the bookshelves of readers in India and around the world.

To celebrate its fifteenth anniversary, Penguin India is offering book lovers in India a never-before bonanza with the introduction of the 10,000 club featuring an exclusive collection of books, which consists of every title that has sold over 10,000 copies in its Penguin India edition.

The 10,000 club boasts of 105 titles from Anees Jung's Unveiling India which was the first book to cross to the 10,000 mark to William Dalrymple's White Mughals, which was published last November.

For this special promotion, every one of the 10,000 club titles is being stamped with Penguin's 10,000 club brand. For every two books purchased from the 10,000 club list, the buyer will receive a third club book of equal or lesser value absolutely free.

At a special ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on May 20, President A.P.J Abdul Kalam received special leather bound copies of his two best-selling books, India 2020: A Vision for the New Millennium and Ignited Minds: Unleashing the Power Within India from David Davidar, Publisher and CEO of Penguin India. This marked the formal launch of Penguin India's 10,000 club campaign.

This special offer will be available on all 105 titles comprising the 10,000 club through the duration of the fifteenth anniversary celebrations and will be supported by major in-store promotions around the country.

Prajashakti Book House in Chikkadpally (Ph: 27608107) in addition to the 10,000 club offer, is offering a 10 per cent discount on all Penguin books. The offer is on till June 23.
