Hi to Muu Muu, bye to prudes

SCRIMPING AND saving may be associated with developing world in innumerable ways but when it comes to clothes the twin words, ironically put us at par with the niftiest in the world. This economics of clothes was proved again at New Delhi's Grand Inter-Continental this past week when Preete Bahll showcased her Spring Hawaiian Muu Muu collection. It is said to be a bohemian collection in colourful variations of georgette and chiffon.

Models flounced around the hotel's Art Junction in crotchet tops, wonder bras, cropped shirt and body-tight blouses with glitter and gold matched with flowing sarongs, cigarette pants and fitted skirts. There were other elements as flowing scarves and jazzy jackets not to cover the bodies but to add glitz.

"Women today spend hours in the gym, they try to work out even the last extra inch. In such a scenario dressing them in shapeless tents amounts to blasphemy. This is the era to celebrate the sensual body and my collection is an attempt towards the same. I try a perfect mix between sensuality and feminism, elaborates Preeti, who retails from her outlet-cum-studio in Greater Kailash-1.

In the fusion wear, her collection has short shirts with stylish necklines and swanky embroidery and slim pants. She terms it as the best of India amalgamated with western silhouette.

If your inhibitions don't accompany you when you shop, go for Muu Muu this summer.
