Child art takes mythological path

JAWAHAR BAL Bhavan is no new name to either children or their parents. The institution has been inspiring kids, engaging them in various activities and helping them in their overall development.

For the past decade or so, it has been trying to cultivate an interest in art among children.

Senior Art Instructor K. Kishan trains youngsters in art at the institution and has been conducting quite a few painting exhibitions by children. This year, the paintings revolved around the theme `Dashavataram' - the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu.

Among these, children used Matsya avataram, Narasimha avataram, Rama avataram and Krishna avataram as the base of their paintings which have attracted a lot of attention from the visitors.

About 32 children took part in the exhibition which is on till June 30.

Check out the excellent pieces of art by young, talented and budding artists.
