Green tea

How is green tea prepared? What are the ingredients used and where are they available?

Amaravathi, Vanasthalipuram

GREEN TEA is a greenish-grey tea from China. Its leaves are characteristically rolled into pellets. It is unfermented and makes a delicate brew, which is best drunk on its own. To make green tea, one has to pour hot water into the pot and rinse it so that the pot should be very hot from the inside. Then put a little green tea into the pot and pour boiling, hot water on to it. Stand for two minutes, pour into cups and drink. It is available in Q-Mart (road no 2, Banjara Hills). I saw it the other day under the band name of Nathnulls. It is an Indian brand. The original green teas from China or Japan are available in most upmarket shopping areas in Mumbai.
