Engineering success

A fair that helps students choose the right engineering colleges is shortly coming to town.

STUDENTS LOOKING to build your career in engineering, here is an exclusive education fair to help you choose the college that suits you best.

With engineering colleges mushrooming in every nook and corner, picking the right one is turning out to be a headache of sorts. To relieve students and parents of that tension, Zak Trade Fair and Exhibitions, is organising a travelling students' show, which will cover the cities of Madurai (March 26-28) and Coimbatore (March 29-31 at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex) before culminating in Chennai where it will go on from April 4 to 6.

Chairman of Zak Trade Fair, Syed Zakir Ahmed, expects about 40 quality engineering colleges to take part in the Coimbatore show. What does he mean by quality colleges? Colleges which meet the students' needs.

Mr. Ahmed hopes the show, the first of its kind in Tamil Nadu, will attract over 30,000 students. "The Coimbatore belt is full of potential, in terms of colleges and student strength, and so we decided to stop here,'' he says.

The fair is not just meant for Class XII students, but also for the Class XI bunch. "They are our future prospects,'' he explains, adding that if the fair, highlighting engineering colleges in the State, turned out to be a success, it would move on to tap students in the Gulf region.''
