Seeking Permission

Visakhapatnam was blessed with natural perennial springs like Ootagedda, Hanumanthavakagedda and Meghadrigedda that flowed right across the town into the city a few decades ago. But over a period of time they have ceased to exist or have been converted to sewage canals.

I fervently believe that we can still strike clear and potable ground water in the Ootagedda Dhobi Colony. I request the authorities to grant me permission to conduct a soil test in that area. If water is found, then it can reduce the present crisis considerably.

D.N. Sinha,

Nowroji Road.
