THE QUEEN of hearts Karisma Kapoor, currently waiting for her forthcoming film "Baaz" to be released, was in town to inaugurate the all-new, all-impressive Sahil showroom in Delhi's South Extension II. She was at her charismatic best and every one wanted to catch a glimpse.
Sahil, spread over an area of 4,500 square feet, aims to be a complete store for women of today. It has the traditional, antique designs as well as designer saris, suits, dupattas, lehengas, chunnies, sarongs and hand embroidered bridal lehengas and saris.
Karisma remarked, "The collection of designs and their vibrant colours are really unique. Those who have a taste for class, elegance and style will definitely not be dissatisfied after they see the entire range here. They are really beautiful."
While speaking on the occasion, Sunil Julka, owner Sahil Emporium said, "After the success of our three-storied showroom in Karol Bagh and under the expansion strategy to have a chain of Sahil we decided to come out with another showroom. The innovative ideas and designs of clothing make Sahil stand out among others."
Young and dynamic, NIFTian Saurabh Julka along with his wife, Prarthana spearheads the designing team. Saurabh says, "We try to give our valued customer the best of fashion in vogue. Designs can be traditional, Western or a fusion of both."
Sahil normal casuals start from Rs. 1500 onwards. You can choose a sari for yourself in the range of Rs. 1500 to Rs. 80,000 while lehengas are priced between Rs. 8,000 to 90,000. All these collections boast of master craftsmanship, be it embroidery, kalamkari, special cuts or swarosi. But it was the expensively priced jaal and kundan work lehengas in white and maroon that got the attention of Karisma Kapoor. She couldn't have settled for anything less gorgeous than that.
