Store of stationery

Office #1, opened recently on Jagannathan Road in Nungambakkam, has an impressive range of office, personal and computer stationery to meet your day-to-day requirements.

A COMPLETE solution to your stationery requirements, that's what `Office#1', a stationery shop opened recently in the city, promises to be. Located at 17, (New No. 2) Jagannathan Road, Nungambakkam, the shop has an impressive range of office, personal and computer stationery, comprising pins and pencils to CDs and micro vaults (pen shaped equipment for storing, sharing and transporting data) of national and international brands.

"We have been dealing in office and computer stationery for corporate clients for the past 40 years. But then the individual customer was not able to enjoy the display and variety of our products. That's why we decided to make it into a brand," says Sanjay Anand of Office#1.

Anand feels that his company's experience in catering for corporate clients will be an asset in dealing with the retail customers. "Even if the price is a little bit on the higher side, we focus only on quality products. And with quality you can actually bring down the costs."

So you have hand tear-able cellophane tapes from `Scotch' that become invisible the moment you paste it on anything, including paper, files with levers and pouches, 3M adhesive tapes, post it notes, Benhur machine made covers, transparent sheets, memo boards, which do not require pins to stick your messages, and a whole range of papers from the ubiquitous A4 size sheets to laser jets and ink jet papers from international brands.

The shop also claims to be the first to start the B to B (Business to Business) concept, providing an opportunity for interaction between the customer and the manufacturer. "The trade is very large and the competition so intense that we have to be focussed regarding our distribution channels, products and customer base. Under this concept, we design products as per customer specifications," says Anand. So you can have designer pens from Parker, Pilot and Luxor with your name or your company's engraved on it for a bulk order of Rs. 10,000 and above.

"Our aim is to replicate what Food Worlds did to provision stores and what fast food joints to restaurants, by becoming one-stop shop for your day-to-day requirements," concludes Anand.
